DIVISION OF TECHNOLOGIES FOR CYBER-HUMAN INTEGRATION (DIVTIC)
Composed of the academic departments:
- TRANSLATIONAL BIOENGINEERING DEPARTMENT
- DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTATIONAL SCIENCES
- DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRO-PHOTONIC INTEGRATION TECHNOLOGIES
- DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION- AND KNOWLEDGE-BASED INNOVATION
The approach for the reorganisation of the current DIVISION OF ELECTRONICS AND COMPUTING into the DIVISION OF TECHNOLOGIES FOR CYBER-HUMAN INTEGRATION is based on the following pillars:
- The current administrative and academic structure cannot support the breadth and variety of the areas of knowledge to be cultivated in this Division.
- The consolidation of a digital society whose nature has migrated from information technologies towards technologies based on the artificial creation of knowledge and intelligence requires a new vision that crystallises new actions and strategies applied to our programmes.
- At present our Division exhibits a loss in its organisational capacity to project effective actions in the face of changes in the labour market that absorbs our graduates. These changes range from the broadening of the competencies required by our graduates for efficient labour market insertion, to the multiplication of the marked labour transformation that has changed the set of rules regarding the recruitment of technically qualified personnel.
- The need to strengthen the Division to assist with extension services, joint projects, joint financing, training located in the productive sector, etc., to connect with the different sectors, particularly with the productive sector.
