Intelligent Systems Laboratories: Mobile Robotics

Intelligent Systems Labs: Mobile robotics

Principal Investigator: Dr. José de Jesús Hernández Barragán

Description:

Laboratory focused on teaching, intended to be a place where robotics engineering students can put into practice the knowledge acquired in their subjects. In this space, practices will be carried out to cover the needs of three main concepts for solving autonomous mobile navigation problems: control, perception and planning.

Kinematic models of land mobile robots will be studied and different control techniques will be used. In addition, different types of sensors will be studied for the estimation of the pose of the mobile and for the perception of its environment. Finally, different techniques for trajectory planning will be studied, both for local and global navigation.
